Overview

Science is still very much researched and used since not everyone can cast magic, so things such as medicine and chemistry are very useful. Ebonmire makes use of science frequently to develop methods to naturally strengthen blood. Medical technology is well studied and a physician can usually help most ailments or injuries.

Medicinal Herbs

• Blood Blossoms - Pretty bright red flowers. The oils in the petals can be boiled out and distilled into a liquid that helps with nausea and acts as a blood thinner, which is ideal for head injuries, and a comfortable alternative to the more invasive treatments. (Source: Ottovan Audio Part 2)
• Cinder Leaf - A leafy yellow plant with orange speckles around the edges. When crushed and mixed with Rock Root it creates a salve that helps with bruises, or can be used on its own as a disinfectant. (Source: Ottovan Audio Part 2)
• Primrose Plant: Drinking a tea of the dried primrose plant can soothe pain, such as from long journeys. (Source: Uruki Audio Part 3)

  • It is foul tasting - quite bitter and more than a little sickly sweet. Some say it's like black licorice and overripe lemons, but Ottovan likens it more to coffee grounds and pond scum. Honey water can be used as a decent chaser. (Source: Ottovan Audio Part 2)

• Whirlvine & Whirlwood: "A special kind of underwater kelp plant, known as Whirlvine, was able to be molded into desirable shapes as it was growing, and through a secret alchemical process, could be transformed into a wood-like material, known as Whirlwood.
